Abigail Gent is aged 9 and has been climbing for nearly one year as a member of the Oakwood squad. She is nicknamed ‘jelly’, having been stung by a jelly fish on her first rock day at dancing ledge! This year she came 7th in her age category at the YCS finals. She loves the challenges that climbing gives her, the friendships she’s made since starting climbing and can’t wait to get better and better!
George is Abigail’s twin brother. Being diagnosed with ASD, ADHD and SPD (sensory processing disorder) makes managing and even accessing some sports very difficult but climbing has helped him manage his difficulties and helped him find a way of focusing on his strengths. It also gives him such a great sense of achievement. He never gives up on a problem and loves dynos!!
